LUMEN

LIGHTING THE JOURNEY TO EMPLOYMENT

Project Lumen will help 2,700 young people in Lincolnshire.

Grimme UK are always keen on helping young people in our local communities and has recently committed to the Lumen project with EDP.

Throughout Lincolnshire, project Lumen will help 2,700 young people interact with representatives from local businesses, raising awareness and stimulating interest in the range of careers open to them. It forms part of a national scheme, funded by The Careers & Enterprise Company to help prepare nearly a quarter of a million 11-18 year olds across England for the world of work.

Recently Grimme UK hosted a mentor evening in the Technicom at their head office. Students were shown what a potato harvester looks like in the form of the Varitron 270 platinum. Grimme UK's Aftersales Manager Russell Button was on hand to give advice about the agricultural industry and how to pursue a successful career in this amazingly diverse sector.
